Tonight we had our robotics lock-in to train in our new members! We all exchanged snapchats and numbers to get a hold of each other easier. Lucian, Hudson, and Jake coming up with some new designs for the G team! They were coming up with chassis ideas and intake ideas. Ryce cleaning up the field, and no he isn't falling to his death! To start our day off we were up and ready to go at around 7:15am and headed to the shuttle bus that goes from the hotel to the convention center. We met a few people on there that were from the Windom Eagles team. When we got to the center we went to watch the opening ceremony for Thursday. They gave out a few awards and told us to be back later for the reveal of new parts. The craziest thing ended up happening to us in the first match of the day. We ended up tying which is pretty rare in VEX. we tied 58-58 and ended up winning our next few games. The thing that everyone ended up being really excited for when they came out with new parts were the battery clips. They by far got the most cheers out of all the new parts. This is our team picture that we took at the photography place. It was pretty cool because it was like a big drape that you could stand by and get a nice formal picture with your robot taken. We ended up venturing down to the Northland College team ETAS. Their robot had one of the number one programming in the world. Before finals they ended the day friday introducing the new game: Nothing but Net. This is a picture of everyone with their phones flashing in anticipation for the new game. This is one of the balls for the new game. It is much bigger than this pop can to put it in comparison. A picture of what the new field looks like. It has two nets that you have to shoot into.
